Biography

Dean Cardwell (she/her/hers) graduated from Bowdoin College in 2017. She majored in Africana studies and minored in sociology. After graduating from Bowdoin, she attended Boston University School of Law and graduated in 2020. During law school, Dean Cardwell participated in the Immigrants' Rights Clinic and was co-president of the Black Law Student Association.

After graduating from law school, Dean Cardwell worked at Central West Justice Center in Worcester for two years in the Immigration Unit, helping victims of crime. After leaving Central West Justice Center, Dean Cardwell worked as an associate attorney at Ingle Law. She serves on the Board of Trustees at New Hampton School and volunteers as a Big Sister with Big Sister Boston. She joined the Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards as an Assistant Dean of Student Conduct & Community Standards in November 2023.
